John Manes is CEO and co-owner of Pinnacle Storage Properties which rebranded in January 2024 to StorSuite, a fully integrated self storage platform. John is responsible for driving the culture, direction and overall operation of the organization. His career in self storage started in 2005 as a district manager for Uncle Bob’s Self-Storage (now Life Storage), one of the five publicly traded self-storage REITs. In 2009 he was promoted to one of three regional vice presidents and was responsible for the performance of over 120 properties and 200 employees. For three consecutive years, John had the best performing region in the portfolio. Prior to starting his own self storage real estate investment company, John joined The Jenkins Organization (TJO), a fully integrated real estate company specializing in the self-storage industry. As the COO, John’s primary function was to oversee all home office and field operations. John is a former board member of the Texas Self Storage Association, where he served on a number of TSSA committees and chaired the Education Committee in 2018.
